The Rev. Danny Digal, who worked tirelessly to rebuild Our Lady of Prompt Succor Roman Catholic Church in Chalmette and reunite the scattered faithful of St. Bernard Parish after Hurricane Katrina , has died in his native Philippines after a long battle with diabetes and kidney disease. He was 64, according to the Clarion Herald.
