– The Ali Modu Sheriff-led faction of the PDP, has rejected the recognition given to Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the party’s candidate in the upcoming gubernatorial election. – The Independent National Electoral Commission had recognized Ize-Iyamu as the party’s candidate. – PDP had presented two candidates for the upcoming Edo state governorship election.
