A white chaplain and a black pastor organized the candlelight vigil at Strong-Thorne mortuary, which emphasized love and the togetherness it can bring. In between the speakers' messages and the lighting of candles, the crowd of about 60 stood and hugged each other. Many were strangers, but they said "I love you" to each other.
