Biddersingh's defence team said in closing arguments on Friday that their clients was unaware the 17-year-old Melonie's life was at risk and did nothing to cause the girl's death. "To convict Elaine Biddersingh in this case of murder or even manslaughter would be an injustice for a woman who was living in a terrible situation," said Jennifer Myers.
