A solid gold eagle made as part of a “treasure hunt” to raise funds for cancer research, worth millions of dollars, has reportedly been stolen. The unique statue, dubbed the Maltese Eagle or Golden Eagle, was commissioned by Ron Shore after a brush with death inspired him to reconsider his priorities.
