| Bundestag clears motion recognizing the Armenian Genocide |

The 1915 massacre of Armenians by Ottoman forces was declared “a genocide” by the German Parliament on Thursday. The resolution also acknowledges that the German Empire, an Ottoman ally, did nothing to stop the killings. Germany is one of the 27 states to pass a similar parliamentary motion.
