On Wednesday, Clarence "Shahid" Freeman called the extortion charges against him an act of "political prosecution" and tried to get the prosecutors' office disqualified from the case. But public corruption prosecutor Marci Rex called it an empty claim, and "disingenuous" to raise the new objections all these years later.
