NASHVILLE —The Nashville-area man shot by police Monday after allegedly wielding a gun at the Capitol Visitors Center has had multiple brushes with the law in recent years, including in Washington, D.C., where he was arrested last fall after proclaiming himself "a prophet of God" inside the House of Representatives.
