Updated 12 hours ago Hawthorne Avenue Presbyterian Church predates the existence of Crafton by five years. In 1894 Pittsburgh Presbytery authorized construction of a church and established a Presbyterian congregation in the village of Idlewood on land that was part of the farm owned by F.C. Biggert, who provided the property at a cost of $1,000.
