Updated 2 hours ago For some Hempfield Manor residents who couldn't go to church on Ash Wednesday, the ashes came to them. Nearly 100 residents and staff at the Woodward Drive facility received “traveling ashes” on Wednesday, delivered by the Rev. John Smaligo, senior pastor of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church in Hempfield.
