As Octobers go, this has been one of the gloomiest in recent history, according to a report by Normally the period from the very end of September to early October is notably clear in the Twin Cities compared with any other time of the year. But this year, 12 of the 15 days from Sept. 25 to Oct. 9 were cloudy.
