On a cold September afternoon, a small group huddles in two sheds set up on a snow-covered field in Wetaskiwin, Alta. Up until last month, the unheated wooden structures, which often shelter cattle or horses, were used as dugouts at the local baseball diamond. Now they offer temporary relief to people with nowhere else to go.
