A 70-year-old man suffered serious injuries when his plane crashed into a home Monday morning in Cottonwood, police said. The pilot had managed to exit the plane on his own, according to Cottonwood police Sgt. Monica Kuhlt. She said the plane, a single-engine Bonanza Beechcraft, was on fire in the backyard of the home by the time officers arrived.
