| Girl, 12, saved by grandmother who died in duck boat accident |
|
As water began to fill the boat and people frantically screamed, 12-year-old Alicia Dennison's first thought was to retrieve life jackets for her and her grandmother. Tall for her age at 5-foot-6 and experienced in boating, the Illinois girl reached up to an overhead shelf where the duck boat stored its jackets.
