With Saturday’s parade serving as the first event of Fiesta Mexicana week, one might have expected the 11 a.m. kickoff Mass to be a more somber part of the festivities. One would be wrong. As all Masses are intended to be, Sunday’s proceedings at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church were a true celebration.
