SACRAMENTO, Calif. A California bill that would declare gay conversion therapy a fraudulent practice is being fought by hundreds of people who said Tuesday the legislation could infringe on their religious freedom. “I did not want to be gay,” Jim Doman, a pastor who said the therapy helped him to marry his wife and have children.
