The UN Mission in Congo is assessing reports about the incident and will provide an update later, spokeswoman Florence Marchal said by phone. Police spokesman Colonel Pierrot Mwanamputu didn’t answer two calls to his mobile phone when Bloomberg sought comment.
Similar clashes three weeks ago left at least 12 people dead.
