It’s early and it was only for bragging rights, but businessman Ian Golden of Tompkins County emerged as winner of a weekend straw poll among Democrats lining up to challenge Republican Rep. Tom Reed of the 23rd Congressional District next year. Golden captured 30 percent of the vote at the Saturday survey of Democrats gathering in Randolph.
