Do you know of Dozier’s Chapel – a Disciple of Christ Christian Church? Rev. Louis Riddell was the first “resident pastor” of the First Christian Church of Springfield, now the Central Christian Church on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Oak Street. Around 1900, Rev. Riddell held a “brush arbor” meeting in the Dozier community, north of Springfield.
