| Hue and cry as Ngungani locals are cut off following heavy rains |

Nearly 8,000 residents of Ngungani, Mwingi North subcounty, have been cut off after the Ighuini drift was washed away by floods following heavy rains last Thursday. Residents told reporters on Monday lorries carrying food and other provisions cannot get to the area.
