According to Hammons Products Co. (www.black-walnuts.com), the next closest option is Luke Rhodes, 1729 W. Gilbreath Hill Road, Newberry, IN, (812) 659-2988. From the newspaper office, it’s about a 50-minute drive west to Newberry — not bad if you have a whole lot of walnuts to sell.
