The fatal police shooting of a Topeka man has renewed interest in forming a board of private citizens to review use of force by law enforcement.
City leaders are reluctant to embrace the concept, noting Topeka police already have an advisory board and urging those troubled by the shooting to be patient while Lawrence police investigate the Sept.
