Charlotte Fairchild Little was one of the first well-known women photographers in New York. From her lavish studio at 5 East 47th St., she began by photographing debutantes, but soon moved to actors and dancers, often in bohemian settings. Her artistic, sometimes exotic photos dominated Vanity Fair and The Theatre from 1917 to 1926.
