City council has announced that the Northlands Coliseum is to be permanently closed. City taxpayers will be paying annually some $2 million for maintenance and security. Then most likely $8 million-plus will be spent for eventual demolition. No profit will be gained from the building site. It is a burden, but a neat solution is available.
