- The Police and Fire Departments will hold the annual Sept. 11 Memorial service to pay their respects to the 2,977 people killed in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Towers in New York, the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania. The public is welcome to join public safety workers for the short ceremony that is scheduled for 9:55 a.
