Colombia's Penal Code states that carrying more than 2kg of cocaine requires a minimum of 10 years, 8 months and a maximum prison sentence of 30 years. However, with the deal that is on the table, that could be reduced to a maximum seven years in El Buen Pastor prison. She could also possibly be released within four years.
