Today, the District Attorney of the 24th Judicial Circuit announced he is running for the open Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals judge seat. Chris McCool, DA of the circuit that includes Fayette, Lamar, and Pickens Counties, will run for the seat next year. McCool, of Gordo, is a Republican.
