While a plea deal may have initially left Cassie with less than ten years to serve in the Colombian jail, sources told the paper the prosecution had revoked the offer, believing it had a 'strong' case. Her Bogota-based lawyer, Orlando Herran, said the funds were urgently needed so he could provide a 'good defence'.
