Louis E. Leffew was the first man from Robertson County to be killed during World War I. Ed Bell was the second. Julius Ed Bell was the son of Robert L. Bell and Sallie Bell. He was born Sept. 24, 1887, and was not quite 31 years old at the time of his death.
