EAST LANSING Farai Mutatu will never forget her laugh that day. It was December of 2016. The Zimbabwe-born, Haslett-raised Mutatu had gone more than two years without hearing his mother's voice. Mutatu's parents were forced to return to their homeland in southern Africa in early 2014 due to visa issues, leaving behind their four children.
