Confession: As a child, I was in love the beautiful Shari Lewis, the puppeteer and ventriloquist. She effortlessly brought her star puppet Lambchop and her friends to life. It was magic. I later discovered Lewis was also brilliant, attending prestigious Barnard College in New York and working as a multitalented singer, ballet dancer and pianist.
