LAWRENCE -- The hilltop Park Street property held an ornate red brick building that had been a community center for the Arlington neighborhood and a landmark for the city from 1866 – just two decades after the city was founded -- until a German-American athletic and social club took it over in the 1960s and named it Turn Hall.
