Hurricane Delta to bring heavy rain, intense wind, 'life-threatening' storm surge to Louisiana on Friday
Delta is located about 200 miles south of Cameron, Louisiana as of Thursday at 5 a.m. EST. Moving north at 12 mph, the storm carries sustained winds of 120 mph with gusts up to 150 mph. It was a Category 2 storm earlier in the day Thursday but grew stronger and became a Category 3 around 5 p.m.
