What it was like covering the flooding, the week in photos
As storms moved through the region last Wednesday night, Inquirer staff photographer Liz Robertson was out trying to make a lightning photo. Henderson church searches for clandestine graves
Built by German settlers in 1855, the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Henderson is both a house of God and a house of history. Walking through the church’s cemetery, one bears witness to graves spanning multiple centuries within a few dozen feet of each other. In the midst of it is an empty space, one that piqued Pastor Diane Goulson’s curiosity.

Future of Notre Dame Cathedral wide open
At the first mass after the fire, held in Notre Dame Cathedral on June 16, 2019, the Archbishop of Paris, the altar boys and the congregation all wore white safety helmets. Construction spotlights bathed the altar in bright light. If they raised their eyes, people could see the sky above the altar space.
