Any confidence was gone and the only thing supplied was bucket loads of political rhetoric and mudslinging. It goes on all the time but it's more pronounced now that we know it will have an impact. Micheál Martin came out swinging yesterday morning, throwing everything he had at Fine Gael.

So there she was, at the height of a national and personal drama, taking tea in his front room. Mallett shows me photos of her visit.

Spoken Words: The Joy and Rewards of Reading Aloud
Recently, I helped my friend Anna edit her memoir, “The Train From Greenville,” in which she recounts her trip cross-country and back again by rail. It’s a fine piece of work, optimistic about Americans and the country, full of quiet wisdom and acute observations, and written so that readers can hear Anna’s voice on each page.
