Keelin Shanley’s fearless journalism, her curiosity to learn and tell the stories of others, and, most of all, her “wicked” sense of fun were celebrated at the broadcaster’s funeral. The award-winning journalist died on Saturday at the age of 51 after a long and intermittent battle with cancer.

The husband of the late RTÉ journalist and broadcaster Keelin Shanley has told her funeral that she was a determined and warm-hearted person who loved getting stories out of people. Conor Ferguson said she was very “dogged” in her work and that she was a humble spirit who loved listening to people.

Status Yellow Snow and Ice warning in place for Connaught counties from 8pm tonight
We could be waking up to snow again tomorrow morning. A status yellow warning for snow and ice is in place for all Connacht Connaught counties together with parts of Leinster and Ulster from 8pm tonight until 10am tomorrow. It comes ahead of the arrival of Storm Denis this weekend - which will bring wet and windy conditions.
