Coronavirus latest - confirmed UK cases rise to 1,543
The number of positive tests for coronavirus recorded in the UK has reached 1,543 - an increase of 171 in 24 hours. Officials at the Department of Health have released the latest figures collated by Public Health England for the UK, which count all cases detected for COVID-19 up to 9am on Monday (March 16).

Coronavirus: Bulgaria begins large-scale checks against speculation in essentials
The border crossings between Serbia and Bulgaria at Oltomantsi, Strezimirovtsi and Bregovo have been closed until further notice as a step against the spread of Covid-19 new coronavirus.
