The Television Academy announced the nominations for the 72nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards at 11:30 a.m. Eastern. This year’s virtual announcement was hosted by Leslie Jones, and presented by Laverne Cox, Josh Gad and Tatiana Maslany. The Emmy awards ceremony will be held on Sept. 20 and broadcast on ABC, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

A revival event in the US state of Alabama has been struck by the novel coronavirus. Many churchgoers began exhibiting symptoms of the illness after a number of services were held at Warrior Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall county with a series of guest speakers.
