London market pre-open: Rightmove scraps dividend as Hargreaves lifts
(Alliance News) - Stock prices in London are seen opening slightly lower on Friday, tracking falls in Asian equity markets, amid US-China tensions and as US lawmakers struggle to find agreement on an economic stimulus package. In early UK company news, fund supermarket Hargreaves Lansdown raised its annual dividend after posting strong results.

DFA reports 18 new COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad
The Department of Foreign Affairs on Friday reported 18 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, one new death and 19 new recoveries among Filipinos abroad, bringing the total number of cases among Filipinos worldwide to 9,710. Filipino Covid case count abroad up by 18
MANILA -- Eighteen more Filipinos abroad were diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the Asia Pacific and Europe, with the total rising to 9,710, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Friday. Some 19 new recoveries were also confirmed in the same regions and one new fatality in the Asia Pacific.

India hits 2m coronavirus cases as deaths pass 41,000
India's official coronavirus case tally passed two million on Friday after a daily jump of more than 60,000. The South Asian giant becomes only the third country to reach the figure, after the United States and Brazil.
