Asia Today: India’s tally surges as restrictions are eased
NEW DELHI (AP) — India has registered 78,761 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the worst single-day spike in the world, as the government continues to further ease pandemic restrictions nationwide. The Health Ministry on Sunday also reported 948 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking total fatalities to 63,498.

DFA’s daily tally on COVID-19 among Filipinos abroad: 2 new cases, 1 recovery, zero death
In its latest tally, the DFA said the new cases and recovery were recorded in the Asia and the Pacific region. As of today, the total number of COVID-19 infections among overseas Filipinos is 10,069. Of the total, 3,190 are undergoing treatment, 6,124 have recovered and 755 died due to infections.

MANILA The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Sunday reported that two more Filipinos abroad contracted the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), pushing the total tally to 10,069. In its latest case bulletin, the DFA said there are no new fatalities while one new recovery was recorded in the Asia and the Pacific.
