Student arrested in clown-related school threats called a joke that ‘got out of control’
A 17-year-old junior at Rogers High School in Puyallup was arrested by Pierce County sheriff’s deputies in connection with a series of clown-related threats on Tuesday that locked down the school. The suspect reportedly started the threats as a joke with friends and it “got out of control,” according to a news release from the sheriff’s department.

Pastor, 75, jailed for raping girls
A pastor, 75, was sentenced to 14 years and two months imprisonment by the High Court in Suva yesterday for four counts of rape. Iowane Vakadranu of the Back to Eden Ministry raped two girls under the age of 18 between October 1, 2012 to August 31, 2014 in Labasa and Tailevu. The girls were members of his church.
