What European Gospel Radio can do for your mission? https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/1144-what-european-gospel-radio-can-do-for-your-mission.html https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/1144-what-european-gospel-radio-can-do-for-your-mission.html Missionary Radio via European Gospel Radio Christian broadcasting networkA WorldWide Christian Broadcasting Network: Tap into a large, International Christian radio audience

Traditional ways of broadcasting your message on local FM or AM radio are quickly becoming ineffective and obsolete.

The reason? Internet and media fragmentation.

However, there are still wide, densely populated and unreachable areas not covered by the Internet, local FM or AM radio and TV, especially in the less developed areas in Africa, Asia/Pacific and Europe.

World Radio airtime

European Gospel Radio (EGR) is a premier Christian station and Christian Broadcasting Network outreaching millions of people not only in Europe, but WorldWide. EGR offers Christian broadcasters, particularly independent Christian radio producers, Pastors, Preachers, and Churches from around the World, a more effective way of communicating with new, existing, and additional listeners worldwide.

EGR offers Christian Radio Airtime combining several different media outlets with one package, including Free Streaming on the Internet for every program aired on our International (Shortwave) broadcasting service. This enables any Christian radio producer to reach a faithful audience at home (via Internet streaming) as well as in Europe, Africa, Asia/Pacific or any specific target around the World.

A Christian Premier Radio and a World Radio network for your Bible radio program

We operate highly directive antennas and high-power, modern transmitters up to 300,000 Watts, beaming several millions of Watts in Effective Radiated Power (ERP) into any desired target, reaching cost-effectively any continent or any specific country or region in the World.

EGR can and will help you deliver your Christian message via its Christian broadcasting network to millions of listeners in poor and underdeveloped areas around the World.

Shortwave and AM/Medium Wave airtime available now on EGR

If you only use local media to preach the Gospel and air your sermon only on a local FM, AM or TV channel, you are losing millions of listeners worldwide and a faithful audience abroad that you can evangelize outside the coverage of your local station.

European Gospel Radio is part of NEXUS-International Broadcasting Association. From Milan, Italy and Dublin, Ireland, we operate EGR with a truly non-profit and missionary spirit to help you evangelize any corner in the World .

Contact us today if you wish to learn more and join us, as all Christian broadcasters who trust us and have used our media daily since 1979.

This is an invitation for truly missionary organizations not in search of financial rewards from their US audiences.

Join European Gospel Radio today, and spread your Christian message of Salvation worldwide.

A Christian premier network and Global media company: our mission

We strongly believe that International and Christian broadcasting should not be a money-making opportunity, but rather an exciting missionary challenge to Evangelize the poorest and most unreachable corners in the World.

Do you love God or money?

We also believe that getting rich should be the last thing on most Preachers and Pastors' minds. We encourage truly missionary Churches, Pastors and Radio Ministries to join our Christian network, as they will have the greatest impact on our worldwide audience.

If you are primarily trying to raise funds with a radio broadcast to Europe, Africa or Asia, we do strongly discourage you from bringing your program over to European Gospel Radio. The results will be disappointing. Our target is not the United States of America (USA). Most of our listeners in Asia and Africa do not have a bank account or credit card and will not send you any checks in the mail. They also live in remote areas with limited or no electricity, cell phones, and email or web access. To be frank, Europeans are tight with their money and sceptical of appeals for donations. This is simply the nature of society.

Therefore, we ask you please NOT to contact us if you are just a Christian fund-raiser or a money-making venture!

Donate to support Cristian Media WorldWide!

If you are not a broadcaster or a program producer and wish to support us, you may donate to European Gospel Radio to allow us to continue to expand our outreach to even more countries in Africa, Asia/Pacific and Europe.

Please check the PayPal link below, and send your donation in US Dollars via Paypal or use your credit or debit card securely (Paypal registration is NOT required).

European Gospel Radio is owned and operated by NEXUS-International Broadcasting Association, a non-profit association of international broadcasters and media producers.

We help Christian preachers, Pastors, Churches, radio stations, podcasters and individual program producers worldwide to broadcast their programs on Shortwave, AM, Medium Wave radio and on streaming all over the World.

Thank you for your support!

Donate now! https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/welcome/1007-donate-now.html https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/welcome/1007-donate-now.html

Donate now to support our projects in Christian broadcasting and electronic media!

Your donation makes a difference. European Gospel Radio is a project of NEXUS-International Broadcasting Association (NEXUS-IBA), a non-profit association which has elected to do something different in the world of media and free flow of information.

Our Christian radio broadcasting Internet services are built on the premise that profits are not the be-all and end-all of broadcasting. We are an all-volunteer cooperative with less than 15 people giving their spare time to keep us alive.

Thank you for supporting EGR and being a part of our global outreach. Your donation helps us reach people with the Gospel all over the world who don't have access to other radio stations and spread the word of God.

We believe that shortwave is the most effective means to get the Gospel message to a lost world. Since we began, we have been told by listeners in numerous countries that they have trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior because of what they have heard.

By supporting this ministry, you are playing a critical role in enabling us to reach people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. In just the past few years, we have seen churches planted in many nations. There are people who have come to know the Lord because of your prayers and generous giving.

Since 1979, when all this began, anyone with anything halfway sensible to say has been able to access our microphones and send their unabridged message worldwide, even if it meant having to run the risk of criticism. In fact, ours is one of the very few experiments in genuinely cultural, religious (non-denominational), free-speech and open media access with a truly global outreach since the early beginning.

We do this largely because we are a free organization with NO political ties, and because of the free access policies of our operation.

In addition to Shortwave and AM/Medium Wave, we are also on the Internet. Needless to say, our multimedia platform is very demanding, both in time as well as financially. We carry no advertising on our stations, and currently, there is no commercial sponsorship except the active support of our volunteers, our Association members, and our listeners.

We want to continue to provide our services to the global community, to regions and troubled places where others cannot reach an audience, and that's why we're now asking for your support by subscribing to European Gospel Radio and NEXUS-IBA.

Why should I donate?

As a volunteer-based organization, NEXUS-IBA and European Gospel Radio stand most in need of dedicated volunteers who can work on our broadcasting and media-related projects. NEXUS-IBA provides the infrastructure for the projects and most all of the administrative effort is currently through unpaid volunteers.

Still, we need financial assistance i.e. to purchase spare parts for our transmitters, hardware, software, tubes (valves), electricity, rent, bandwidth in order to keep our servers up and our radio transmitters running for the benefit of our international community.

Donate now via Credit card on NEXUS-IBA secure web site

You can also send your donation online using Visa or Mastercard via our secure server, by clicking on the icon below:

Please use our secure donation form to donate amounts in Euros. Any amount donated in US Dollars will be converted in Euros at the official rate of exchange when we process your donation.

You can also donate securely to NEXUS-IBA and European Gospel Radio via Paypal.

Donate now, contribute to EGR & NEXUS-IBA projects!

Donations to NEXUS-IBA are used to support European Gospel Radio broadcasts and pay for transmitter airtime in order to bring the Gospel and Good News to the most remote regions in Africa, Europe, Asia/Pacific.

If I donate financially, where would my donations go?

Currently, the bulk of our financial obligations are going towards providing our technical infrastructure - transmitters airtime and servers bandwidth that we require. Very often we are unable to air some of the programs we are asked to broadcast, because of a lack of funds to pay for the electricity and transmitter time.

Donate now to European Gospel Radio, Christian Radio worldwideNEXUS-IBA broadcasts to the Middle East On Shortwave radio and via streaming audio & video we reach daily the most troubled regions of the world, including Palestine, Gaza, Israel, Africa (i.e. Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Nigeria, Darfour, the Congo), and the Middle and Far East (Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, China, India, Pakistan, etc.). Sometimes we reach these and other parts of the world with just special or weekly broadcasts if donors are unable to provide funding for daily coverage.

If you have a specific target or project that you wish to directly support, please contact us and we will do our best to satisfy your wishes. We gladly accept support for our Christian radio ministry (European Gospel Radio), as well as for other cultural and free-speech (IPAR - International Public Access Radio) initiatives. If you have a particular project in mind, please email us with your suggestion and donation offer.

NEXUS-IBA's mission is to broadcasts to the world, using all media available to us (i.e. radio, TV, Internet, etc.). If you wish to provide equipment for use by NEXUS-IBA, please contact us before attempting to send it "here" directly -- the nature of our global non-profit operations are such that any equipment and services used to support our projects may be located where they are best needed, i.e. all over the world!

I'd like to talk to someone about supporting your initiatives!

If you would like more information about supporting European Gospel Radio and NEXUS-IBA, please email us for more information. All information will be kept in the strictest confidence. Thank You!]]>

The value of Shortwave https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/1-the-value-of-shortwave.html https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/1-the-value-of-shortwave.html European Gopel Radio digital audio streaming studioShortwave radio remains one of the key electronic media for reaching the maximum number of potential listeners in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Pacific, and certain regions in the Americas.

This is proved by the fact that the world’s biggest international broadcast organizations and governmental broadcasters continue their activities via Shortwave, and are still investing in new studio and Shortwave transmission facilities.

In recent history, the Gulf, Iraq Wars, the war against ISIS and the situation in Syria, Indian Kashmir, East Africa, Cameroon, Nepal, China, Western Sahara, Sub-Saharan Africa show once again and most impressively how important a telecommunications tool Shortwave is in reaching a vast audience, often isolated by other media, using inexpensive but highly powerful modern receivers that can be put in a suitcase or pocket.

Shortwave is everywhere. It is the world’s most mobile medium. Ironically, it was the propaganda machine of Nazi Germany that recognized the power of Shortwave and perfected its use in the Second World War.

Today, Shortwave is one of the greatest weapons in the fight for morality.

You can read more about EGR on NEXUS-IBA website and more about the value of Shortwave.

Calling Africa https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/36-calling-africa.html https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/36-calling-africa.html
Calling Africa on ShortwaveWith a south directional beam from Europe, our signal reaches extremely well the whole African continent, from Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia on the Mediterranean, East, Central and West Africa all the way down to South Africa, and the greatest part of Southern and Central Europe as well. The program is produced directly in Sudan, aired locally on a few FM stations in larger towns, and then transferred live by satellite to our station.

From Europe we then beam it on Shortwave so that people in the remote areas of Africa can pick up the signal on Shortwave radios. So far. after six months of regular broadcasts, the results have been great, and we all feel blessed of being able to provide some relief to these troubled regions.

Forshia Ross: the youngest Ham Radio Operator in Alaska who became Pastor https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/testimonies/36228-forshia-ross-the-youngest-ham-radio-operator-in-alaska-who-became-pastor.html https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/testimonies/36228-forshia-ross-the-youngest-ham-radio-operator-in-alaska-who-became-pastor.html Forshia Ross with mikeAt the age of ten, Forshia Ross became the youngest ham radio Operator in the state of Alaska, where her family lived at the time.

Forshia remembers when she took the Morse code and radio theory exam to get her license; She was very perplexed by one question. She was sure the multiple-choice answers did not contain the right one from which she could choose. Finally, Forsha went to her instructor during the exam and shared it with him.

She was apparently right, and a letter of correction to the Federal Communications Commission accompanied her exam. As the local newspaper reported, “The young Miss passed her test in radio theory and the international Morse code with flying colors.” Forshia even built her own transmitter, a task that took one whole summer. Her father built the receiver; and when they tested them both, Forshia's worked fine, and his began to smoke. They had a good laugh about it, but Forshia was still very proud of herself.

Foshia also remembers going to a ham radio summer party, given for the benefit of all radio operators in Alaska, and asking if she could sign the roster that had been placed high up on a podium. The man she was asking looked down at her, smiled sweetly, and answered: “Honey, that’s for radio operators to sign.” Innocently, she looked up at him (everyone was taller than her, of course) and said, “But I am one.” Through this medium of communication, she would reach as far as Guam and many other places.

Forshia still has her logbook. She received fan mail from all over the world and was featured in the CQ Magazine, one of the most well known magazines for radio operators. When the Lord opened up ministry to Forshia Ross in 1990, never would she have believed that radio would continue to be so important. Only this time the purpose would be to share the Good News of Jesus Christ around the world.

Hidden Treasures radio program on EGR / IRRSForshia's radio program, Hidden Treasures has been aired on several stations in the United States, short wave in Africa and Northern and Southern America and in her own local area. God has given Forshia a unique ability to share the Gospel in practical ways that help people realize that He desires to be everyday real in their lives. She is often interviewed as a guest speaker on syndicated radio stations. Her audio CD, 18 Sound Bites, a collection of some of her best programs, continues to encourage people with God’s love and personal care. It has been her great pleasure to be invited to share the Good News with the European Gospel Radio ministry as well.

Forshia Ross is a licensed and ordained pastor and head of the international ministry Treasurers from the Heart, which started in 1990 on the outskirts of Washington DC. She fulfills the call of ministry to help people through television, radio, books, Bible studies, speaking engagements and her website, TreasuresFromTheHeart.org. Forshia has won two Rhode Island PEG Awards for Best Religious/Spirituality TV Program and has also published two books, No Secondhand Rose and The Wilderness Shall Blossom like the Rose, the first and second of a trilogy about her journey to wholeness. She lives with her husband, Eric, in Glendale, Rhode Island.

New high power broadasts to Middle East, Asia and Pacific https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/971-new-high-power-broadasts-to-middle-east-asia-and-pacific.html https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/971-new-high-power-broadasts-to-middle-east-asia-and-pacific.html We've just recently started broadcasting using 150 and 300 kW to Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.

We are quite excited, because with just one single broadcast we cover an extremely large area of the world, including East Africa (i.e. Somalia, Ethiopia), Middle East (Arabian peninsula, Iran, Iraq), Asia (Afghanistan, India, China, Burma/Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, etc.) and our signal is also heard strong as far away as Japan, until the far end of the beam in Australia and New Zealand.

There are many US and British soldiers in these areas that we can reach also, if we could only alert them all to tune in (maybe through their relatives in the USA and UK).

There is about +3 to +10 hrs time difference from 13 UTC in all these regions and we reach these targets in the late afternoon (in Mid East) to the evening prime time in the more distant countries in Asia and the Pacific, and no later than midnight local time in Australia & NZ.

IRRS and European Gospel Radio reach Middle East, Far East, Asia, China, India, Japan and Australia

In the meantime, listeners' reports have been received from India, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, China, Australia and the USA. Since propagation works strangely at night, our listeners and monitoring stations report that we do indeed reach well also the areas in central and NE China and Japan that are not on our primary beam.

Since the beginning of 2011, we have been broadcasting on a new European AM/Medium Wave frequency of 1368 kHz, covering the North East of Italy (Venice, Padua, Verona, Vicenza, Bologna and vicinities, population around 3 million) from 7 PM until 2 AM Central European Time every night, and from 6AM until 8AM every day.

New frequencies in parallel with 1368 kHz were added at the beginning of 2015: 846 kHz, 567 kHz and - most recently - 918 kHz. The latter is currently our regular frequency every evening from 7PM-11 PM Central European Time, to cover local areas only in the North Eastern part of Italy and over the border of neighbour countries. The addition of 918 kHz has been proved very effective in reaching DXers in Northern Europe, as far as Sweden and Norway during darkness

European Gospel Radio and IRRS broadcast daily. English is our primary language, although short segments in German, French and Italian are also aired occasionally. All programs are also carried via audio streaming on the main IRRS/EGR stream (see more details on top of our home page)

All broadcasts can also be heard in the border countries of Slovenia. Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, southern Germany and eastern part of France after 7 PM until 7:30 AM (nighttime) approx Central European Time. Listeners' letters on 1368 kHz have been received also from Spain, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden. The total potential coverage is approximately 143 million people, of whom ca. 68 million speak English as a first or second language. Nighttime coverage is approximately within the darker zone in the coverage map below, including the lighter area close to the transmitter). Daytime coverage is also available for programs in Italian (in the smaller, lighter circle in the coverage map).

Over this new voice in Europe we are repeating some of the programs being broadcasted on European Gospel Radio, IPAR (International Public Access Radio) and IRRS-Shortwave on Shortwave, in addition to music, news and information in English.

Voice of Europe EGR medium wave AM coverage mapAll programs on our AM/Medium Wave network are 95% in English. It's a great opportunity to make us heard in the center of Rome, just a few blocks from the Vatican, and in the large tourist and business areas in the North-Eastern part of Italy and Central/Southern Europe.

For more information call us free of charge from the USA or Canada every day from 8AM-10PM Central European Time, 11PM-1PM PST, 2AM-4PM EST

The March 2013 edition of Radio World Int'l magazine, available digitally free of charge, carries an article on their front page dedicated to our international broadcasting mission.

The article features European Gospel Radio and NEXUS-IBA story going back from the late 1970's when we started relaying programs in English on FM radio in Milan, Italy, and then expanded our broadcasts on the Internet, AM/Medium Wave and via shortwave to cover the entire world.

The article also mentions briefly our own CDN technology called WorldDirector, developed internally at NEXUS-IBA to distribute our Christian radio and TV programs over the Internet, via our web farms in North America, Europe and Asia.

The Shortwave antenna displayed in the RWI article is actually a short range log-periodic antenna used only for local broadcast at reduced power up to 100 kW, while the more sophisticated long distance antennas used at 150 and 300 kW are shown on our web site.

Reach out to Europe, North Africa and Middle East https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/1100-reach-out-to-europe-north-africa-and-middle-east.html https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/1100-reach-out-to-europe-north-africa-and-middle-east.html How does shortwave radio work?

Shortwave ionosphere propagationStandard AM and FM stations lose their power as their signals dissipate along the ground over long distances. In shortwave, the opposite is true. The Earth is encased in an invisible covering of gases called the Ionosphere. This acts like a mirror, reflecting shortwave signals back to Earth, thus making it possible to cover vast distances with a single transmitter. This is why shortwave is so efficient and cost-effective. In the case of IRRS-Shortwave, this means you can cover Europe for the same or less money than it would cost to reach just one local market at home.

Christian broadcasting organizations, Church leaders and Pastors placed their trust in us to provide a radio link between their programs and our European listener.

We take this trust seriously and want not only to place the best possible transmission facilities at your disposal but also to give you the benefit of our experience and knowledge of the Shortwave broadcast medium and the European audience, which goes back nearly a quarter of a century.

Europe, North Africa and Middle East

European Gospel Radio Europe North Africa and Middle East coverageHistorically, Europe has been our main target since we began operating with an omnidirectional antenna in 1988. As we began increasing transmitter power to 100, 150 and 300 kW, we started using directional antennas, that are able to target European Gospel Radio to any country or continent in the world. Custom broadcasts can be set using our high gain and directional antenna that optimize reception on the desired target.

We strive to provide you with the highest quality broadcasts

On Shortwave, each broadcast can cover a huge territory, such as one or more continents, one or several countries altogether.

You may be spending donors' money and resources buying airtime on another station that cannot be heard, because it cannot reach the target, or because the shortwave channel that you are currently using may be interfered with by other stations. You may also be using old transmitters or bad frequencies, at nominal (not real) transmitter powers that may not be doing a good job.

Transmitter power is not the only thing that counts in reaching our targets. We also use modern, well maintained, digitally controlled, DRM capable transmitters, with excellent modulation and excellent antennas. We also take all necessary care to provide a good frequency to each broadcast. We provide direct international frequency coordination with all world stations, governments and private broadcasters, and are able to select the best time and antenna to offer you the best possible signal on each target.

Give the European Gospel radio team a chance to reach out to the world!

We've often heard stories of fake radio stations, fake (paid) broadcasts, fake listeners reports and fake I’ve Seen The Light” letters sent through networks organized by radio brokers and agencies. On some occasions, we have even helped Christian ministries in uncovering those unethical and fraudulent schemes.

Europe is just one of our targets. We cover any region in the world by selecting the right transmitter power, the best antenna, a good frequency and the most correct time for your target.

If you are ever in doubt on whether you are really reaching your audience with your own station, at any time you are welcome to ask us to monitor your existing broadcasts. We'll be glad to check and compare the effectiveness of your broadcast at almost any location in the world, and provide you with a competitive signal in your desired target area.

It goes without saying that we stand ready to answer any specific question or request you may have. We strive to help our Christian broadcasters in every way possible to make their mission a success and exploit the potential of saving millions of souls with just one single broadcast, at a very reasonable cost. Please do contact us for any additional information.

What a response from our recently started broadcasts to the Far East! We now reach Europe, Middle East, India, China, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, the whole of Asia and the Pacific, including Australia and New Zealand. Reports of clear reception on our world-wide frequency at 300 kW have been also received from Europe and the USA. All this huge area in the world with one high power broadcast!

We want to give you an update on our worldwide radio mission. As we continue to work with churches and religious organizations to bring their Christian message to the most remote areas in the world, we are rewarded by flow of testimonies of listeners from all over the world who tune into our missionary broadcasts.

We are glad to be partner with many US and International missions who bring their messages of Evangelism, Faith and Salvation to the world. Those who believe in our radio mission are truly missionary organizations, that only care to bring the message of Christ to the poorest and most remote lands in the world. Without their financial support we would not be able to reach these locations in the world. Thank you!

Most of the listeners' response is going directly to the program producers who usually respond directly by email or post to listeners' inquires, but as a policy we always forward any correspondence to them, unless the very rare cases in which listeners do not give us permission to do so.

Our missionary outreach https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/979-our-missionary-outreach.html https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/979-our-missionary-outreach.html In 1979 we started with a small English speaking FM station in Milan, Italy. Our vision since the early days has been to bring the message of the many US and International organizations to those areas that they were unable to cover by themselves.

In 1988 we began broadcasting on International Shortwave radio to Central and Eastern Europe. At that time The Cold War still divided Europe into two parts along the borders of NATO and Warsaw Pact states.

Most countries such as Eastern Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, the Soviet Union, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, the so-called Baltic countries, were sealed from the Western world. No paper media, no radio or TV (except in the border regions) was able to spread to the other side of the iron curtain. At that time there was no email, no Facebook, no Google, no Internet and no satellite TV or radio.

Our Shortwave stations can travel long distances and still today, as back in the 1980's we are able to bring a message of Evangelism, as well as news, music and feature programs to those lands that cannot be reached otherwise by the so-called new media.

Early in 1994, we added Internet audio and video streaming, via several relay locations (data-centres) in Europe, Asia and the Americas to better serve our audience via our own Content Delivery Network (CDN). Today we operate several audio and video streams 24 hrs a day, in different languages, on behalf of our associated Ministries and Churches from around the world.

Most recently, we added new digital transmitters up to 300 kW and long-distance antennas to reach any region in the world. From Europe our signal is being reported in almost every nation in the world.

Today we also provide managed internet and broadcasting services, consulting and advice to Ministries who want to reach their audience on satellite television, radio and over the internet, not only in Europe but in any other region in the world.

Our websites at European Gospel Radio and NEXUS-IBA provide plenty of information on how to use our services and bring your own message to the world.

There are no other media today to be blessed with such a wide area, and such a large number of listeners at any one time. Even the Internet cannot beat a small portable Shortwave radio outside of large towns, and especially if you are bringing your message to the poorest regions in the world like Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.

During almost 20 years of operation on Shortwave, we discovered that good advice is essential for every mission. And we are here to help any of you to reach out in the most effective way.

This is the third sermon on John chapter 9. An unnamed blind beggar is receiving his sight. What was the reason? According to Jesus, He sought out this beggar “in order that the works of God should be made manifest in him”.

Astounding contrasts: The Pharisees, in their carnal mind, excommunicated this formerly blind beggar, because he did not want to deny that Jesus was from God. These graduates from honored seats of learning were corrected by this untrained new disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

On the other hand we see what Divine grace can do. It brings a beggar to the feet of the Savior. It gives him a wisdom that exceeds the wisdom of the Pharisees. His logic is impeccable: “One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see”. ]]>

European Gospel Radio is operating broadcasting services to reach listeners worldwide with powerful shortave transmitters using 150 and 300 kW, via satellite radio & TV, internet radio and video streaming and now also on AM/Mediumwave in Rome and Central Europe.

According to our experience Shortwave radio is still a unique, very low cost and far reaching opportunity to bring a message to the remote lands of China, India, Africa, the Middle East and the former Soviet Union. A radio message on Shortwave radio reaches millions of people far away and over large territories at a fraction of the cost of conventional media, especially when FM, TV or satellite reception is not available. From our unique position in the South-Eastern part of Europe we can reach all the most troubled, conflict and poorest region of the world where Shortwave is just about the only way to receive a message of salvation.

On Shortwave we reach daily Africa, Mid and Far East, Asia, Pacific. Other regions can be specifically targetd using high power broadasts and directional antennas.

On AM/Medium Wave we broadcast from just a few blocks from the Vatican and from the city of Padua, and we reach the city of Rome, the North Eastern part of Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland and southern Germany every evening and night with English language broadcasts.

With the recently addition of AM/Medium wave and Internet streaming services we can offer competitive bundles to reach Rome and most populated areas of Norther Italy.

We are running a special promotion for Christian stations and program producers. For more information check our website at or email us at: info@egradio.org with promo code AMSW

Dear friends, December 29, 2004

On Dec 26 the worst Earthquake on Earth in 40 years happened underwater southwest of Aceh Province, Sumatra. Enormous seismic Sea waves (in Japanese called Tsunami) hit the coasts in most countries around the Indian Ocean, causing devastating damages and more than 60000 people at the beaches killed or disappeared into the Sea. This natural catastrophe came without warning and all media covered this tragic event. On Sri Lanka alone, more than 22000 people are reported dead.

Our member, Victor Goonetilleke, living 10 km inland south of Colombo wrote on Dec 27: ” All of us are OK here. Trying hard to organize some emergency communications (Victor is also a very active radio amateur! Ed) and also doing some food distributions and things like that. Since the affected areas are so widespread things are very hard. Everyone within 1000 metres or so of the coast have been badly affected right along the coast from North to South on the eastern side of the island. In some areas as far in as 2-3kms. On the Western side not so bad, about 100 metres from the coast, as the quake was on the Eastern side of the island and the tidal waves came from the East/ S. East. You would have seen the vast destruction. Frightening.. Regards , Victor”.]]>

RBCSC broadcast of Dec. 10, 2004 https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/16-rbcsc-broadcast-of-dec-10-2004.html https://www.egradio.org/christian-radio-worldwide/news-about-european-gospel-radio/16-rbcsc-broadcast-of-dec-10-2004.html Pastor Alfred Chompff sent us a comment of Fridays Dec. 10, 2004 broadcast on 5,775 kHz (2000-2100 UTC):

This is the second sermon on John chapter 9. God uses the healing of this blind man as a type or picture of salvation. The formerly blind man said to the Pharisees, “He opened My Eyes”. God did it 100%. I did not ask for it, and neither did I deserve it. Salvation is entirely by grace. By definition “grace” is a free gift from God, like John 1:13 says, “Which were born (again), not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God”.]]>
